Subaru’s automatic Impreza WRX STI A-Line now available in Japan
From the producer of the world famous Subaru automobiles, Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. (FHI) now unleashed the latest Subaru Impreza WRX STI A-Line, which is the addition in the current WRX STI family vehicles. This line is now on sale in Japan, nationwide.
The A-Line concept is based on the WRX STI Impreza. It was built to provide supreme performance to a wide scale of customers by incorporating the 2.5-liter turbocharged Boxer engine unit and SPORTSHIFT enhanced 5 Speed Automatic Transmission. Aside from that, the latest WRX STI was refined to provide a more comfortable and secured driving experience such as the power-adjusted front seats.
The Boxer engine is featured with a single scroll turbocharger and can produce a varied amount of torque, from a low, to middle, to high revved range. The Subaru also provided WRX STI A-Line with Dual Active Valve System (AVCS) which is to aid the valve timing on both the intake and exhaustion of the valves, thus improving the torque range and its emissions. Also found in the engine is the Tumble Generation Valve (TGV) which facilitates air stream to produce a high level of combustion.
Subaru Impreza WRX STI A-Line is also available in a new color, “Satin White Pearl”. The car manufacturer stated that there are no plans yet of bringing the model in the US automotive market. At present, the 2.5 GT Impreza is the fastest automatic Subaru in US that produces 224 horsepower.
